The Evolution of Baile Funk
FUNK PARADE is our flagship touring project, created to showcase the history, evolution, and cultural impact of Baile Funk through music, community, and cultural exchange.
What began as a single event grew into a multi-city program spanning Australia and New Zealand, bringing together DJs, dancers, artists, and communities to celebrate one of Brazil's most influential cultural movements.
More than a party, FUNK PARADE was designed to create a deeper understanding of Baile Funk's roots, highlighting its connections to race, identity, resistance, and community while creating opportunities for emerging artists to perform, collaborate, and grow.
The project has supported more than 85 artists, facilitated international collaborations between Australia and Brazil, and reached thousands of attendees through arts, music and cultural programming. Creating new pathways for cultural exchange while strengthening Australia's connection to emerging global music movements..
